Where Your Story Meets Ours

YIC’s founders have a background in compassionate healthcare and believe that changing the world begins with serving the community—especially our youth. The Youth Impact Center was inspired by the idea of creating something truly special for young people in our area: a safe and nurturing environment where students can study, exercise, or simply hang out with friends. Our modern facility, along with our caring mentors, serve to create a space that students will want to come back to regularly.

Where are we? We are proud to serve the beautiful community in Fort Lauderdale. This is the special location where we hope your story will become a part of ours.

Athletic Excellence

Our center is home to an impressive indoor space, complete with protective matting and exercise equipment, in addition to a team of caring coaches. YIC is also where the Pine Crest Panthers wrestling team practices regularly.

The YIC mentors truly care about the young members of our community. Their role at the center is to be available for any young person in need of educational or personal guidance, support, or simply a friendly face.

The academic tutors at YIC take a compassionate approach to learning. Patience, kindness, and an ability to make learning fun are just as important as knowledge of the subject matter. Scheduled appointments and walk-ins are both available.

A Social Hub

YIC can serve as a place for youth to focus on school and athletic objectives, but it can also serve as a place to relax, socialize, and make new friends for life. Our hangout area is fully equipped to accommodate more than a few teens and even more laptops. Did we also mention our snack area and refrigerator?

YIC Is A Valuable No-Cost Programming Resource

FOR YOUTH BETWEEN AGES 6 TO 18

Students: Now there are two centers in Pinecrest Square where you can have fun while pursuing your dreams. Simply put, we created YIC for you. Whether you want to get better grades, improve in sports, or make new friends—YIC is the place where you can do it all.

Parents: You can feel confident that there is a place outside of home and school where your children and teens can be safe and enjoy enriching academic and athletic experiences. Our values are family focused, and our goal is to see your children succeed. We are dedicated to providing the resources, sense of community, and attention that is needed to build a confident, balanced sense of self in the young people of this community.

Schools: You do the best with the resources you have. Consider YIC as an additional, free resource to give your students a boost in academics and athletics. Our goal is to help youth and teens to achieve improved test scores through our Enrichment Center, where tutoring and study spaces are available, and improved athletic performance because of extra practice in our Athletic Center. You can feel good knowing that after the final bell rings, your students have a safe environment with extended hours and no-cost programs waiting for them at YIC.
